Abstract

Kata Kunci: Pandemi Covid-19, Limbah Sabun Antiseptik, Mikroorganisme Heterorofik ABSTRACT The spread of the Covid-19 virus is very fast in various countries including in Indonesia, the Indonesian government took the policy to do 3M (wash hands, keep your distance, and wear masks). The policy makes people more often to wash their hands with antiseptic soap to avoid the Covid-19 virus. As a result of the increased use of antiseptic soap, the waste of antiseptic soap rinses that are wasted into the waters will certainly also increase. In this study will be analyzed the impact of the use of antiseptic soap for hand washing during the Covid-19 pandemic against microorganisms in river water. This research is experimental research. Data collection by sampling river water, observation of bacterial types, observation of the death of microorganisms, and F tests to determine the comparison of microorgaism mortality rates. The results of this study are the types of microorganisms that may be present in this river water sample are Bacillus cereus, Virgibacillus salaries, Bacillus toyonensis. The percentage of the value of heterotrophic microorganisms decreases with the treatment of variations in the volume of antisepic soap rinses namely P1, P2, and P3 against blanks consecutively by 56%, 74%, 94%. Antiseptic soap rinse liquid exerts a significant effect on river water microorganisms with a significant value of 0.001 less than 0.05 to a significant rate of 5%. This means that the more water the antiseptic soap rinses are wasted into the waters will correlate to the death of good microorganisms.
