Abstract

STUDI PENERAPAN PRODUKSI BERSIH DI INDUSTRI DETERGEN Trisna Priyadi ABSTRAK Meningkatnya kebutuhan detergen di masyarakat, mendorong meningkatnya jumlah industri detergen dan produksi detergen. Semakin meningkatnya jumlah produksi detergen berbanding lurus dengan kebutuhan sumber daya air. Air dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan proses produksi dan proses pendingin pompa. Tingginya kebutuhan air menimbulkan masalah pada kegiatan proses produksi. Maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan Re-Use Cooling Water untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Re-Use Cooling Water adalah salah satu kegiatan yang berpedoman pada konsep produksi bersih. Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses Re-Use Cooling Water dilakukan dan mengetahui nilai penghematan air yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini meliputi kegiatan pengukuran debit air pada pompa, menghitung jumlah kebutuhan air untuk proses pendingin pompa, dan menghitung jumlah kebutuhan air untuk proses pendingin pompa. Data tersebut digunakan untuk menghitung nilai penghematan air dari proses kegiatan Re-Use Cooling Water. Nilai penghematan diperoleh dengan cara menghitung selisih nilai antara kondisi sebelum dan sesudah adanya kegiatan Re-Use Cooling Water. Maka nilai penghematan air setelah dilakukan kegiatan Re-Use Cooling Water adalah Rp 210.840 /hari atau setara dengan Rp 75.480.720/tahun. Berdasarkan data tersebut kegiatan Re-Use Cooling Water terbukti dapat meningkatkan efisiensi kegiatan yang dilakukan perusahaan. Kata Kunci: Detergen, Produksi Bersih, Re-Use Cooling Water. ABSTRACT The increasing of detergent using by the society, encourage to the increasing number of detergent industry and its production. The increasing number of detergent production directly proportional with water resource used. Water are used for production and pump cooling process. The high demand of water creates problems in the production process. The industry of detergent need to do Re-Use Cooling Water to solve this problem. Re-Use Cooling Water is one of the activities based on the concept of clean production. This research is conducted to find out the clean production activity of PT. SMX and how much it was effected to save the water resources. This research includes the measurement of water debit at the pump and calculating the amount of water required for the pump cooling process. The data was used to calculate the water saving value of the Re-Use Cooling Water activity process. Water saving value is obtained by calculating the difference between the condition before and after the activity of Re-Use Cooling Water. So the water saving value after Re-use Cooling Water activity is Rp. 210,840/day or Rp. 75,480,720/year. Based on that data this Re-use Cooling Water activity was proved to improve efficiency that conducted by the company. Keywords: Detergent, Cleaner Production, Re-Use Cooling Water.
