Abstract

ABSTRAK ALDO. NIM 2019110104. Pengaruh Board Size dan Firm Size Terhadap Profitabilitas pada Perusahaan Property dan Real Estate yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2018-2021. Di bawah bimbingan Ibu Ani Siska MY, S.H., M.M., M.S.M. Profitabilitas merupakan suatu tindakan dalam menghasilkan suatu output ataupun hal yang hendak dicapai dalam suatu tujuan. Begitupun profitabilitas suatu pekerjaan juga menjadi tindakan penting dalam menghasilkan informasi-informasi yang dapat digunakan oleh pengguna laporan tersebut. Profitabilitas sangat dibutuhkan dalam menunjukkan kinerja dan kondisi perusahaan. Untuk mengetahui kondisi perusahaan, maka dibutuhkan penelitian dalam faktor apa yang dapat mempengaruhi profitabilitas pada suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahu apakah board size dan firm size mempengaruhi Profitabilitas pada perusahaan yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Explanatory Research. Lokasi penelitian ini merupakan perusahaan Property dan Real Estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Populasi pada penelitian ini sebanyak 81 perusahaan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 14 perusahaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jika board size dan firm size secara parsial dan simultan berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan jika board size dapat memantau jalannya profitabilitas sesuai dengan stakeholder dan ukuran aset pada suatu perusahaan dapat meningkatkan profitabilitas. The Effect of Board Size and Firm Size on Profitability in Property and Real Estate Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2021. Under the guidance of Mrs. Ani Siska MY, S.H., M.M., M.S.M. Profitability is an action in producing an output or thing to be achieved in a goal. Likewise, the profitability of a job is also an important action in producing information that can be used by users of the report. Profitability is needed in showing the performance and condition of the company. To find out the condition of the company, research is needed on what factors can affect the profitability of a company. This study aims to find out whether board size and firm size affect profitability in the companies studied. This study uses a quantitative method with the type of Explanatory Research. The location of this research is a Property and Real Estate company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population in this study were 81 companies with a purposive sampling technique and 14 companies were obtained. The results of this study indicate that board size and firm size partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on profitability. From these results it can be concluded that if the size of the board can adjust the rules of profitability according to stakeholders and the size of assets in a company can increase profitability.
