Abstract
ABSTRAK Dalam PP Nomor 22 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup Lampiran IX ”Limbah slag aluminium yang dihasilkan dari proses produksi primer ataupun sekunder termasuk dalam Limbah Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun (B3). Limbah gram alum dihasilkan dari proses produksi pabrik otomotif, dan proses produksi pabrik pencetakan aluminium. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis performance PAC hasil sintesis serta menganalisis metode sintesis yang paling efektif dalam pembuatan PAC. Dalam penelitian ini ada dua metode sintesis yang digunakan yaitu metode open system dan metode close system, untuk mengetahui performance serta metode yang lebih efektif dilakukan beberapa pengujian seperti perhitungan kadar Al2O3, perhitungan specific gravity, menghitung %removal dan pengujian pH. Hasil yang didapat untuk kadar Al2O3 sebesar 10,09% untuk PAC open system dan 12,04% untuk PAC close system, untuk perhitungan specific gravity didapatkan hasil sebesar 1,225 untuk PAC open system dan 1,252 untuk PAC close system, lalu untuk pengukuran pH didapatkan hasil sebesar 3,96 untuk PAC open system dan 4,11 untuk PAC close system dan untuk perhitungan %removal hasilnya adalah 85,32 untuk PAC open system dan 94,52 untuk PAC close system dari hasil perhtiungan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan performance serta metode sintesis yang paling efektif adalah PAC yang dibuat dengan metode close system. ABSTRACT In Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, Appendix IX "Aluminum slag waste produced from primary or secondary production processes is included in Hazardous and Toxic Waste. Gram alum waste is generated from the automotive factory production process, and the aluminum molding factory production process. This study aims to analyze the performance of the synthesized PAC and to analyze the most effective synthesis method in the manufacture of PAC. In this study, two synthesis methods were used, namely the open system method and the closed system method. To determine the performance and a more effective method, several tests were carried out, such as calculating Al2O3 levels, calculating specific gravity, calculating % removal and testing pH. The results obtained for Al2O3 levels were 10.09% for PAC open systems and 12.04% for PAC closed systems, for specific gravity calculations the results were 1.225 for PAC open systems and 1.252 for PAC closed systems, then for pH measurements the results were obtained of 3.96 for open system PAC and 4.11 for closed system PAC and for % removal calculation the results are 85.32 for open system PAC and 94.52 for closed system PAC. From the calculation results, it can be concluded that the performance and synthesis method used The most effective is the PAC which is made using the close system method.
